Dr. Joseph Churchill’s path to dentistry began in southeastern Connecticut with a childhood accident. After a basketball injury broke his front teeth, he was captivated by his dentist's ability to restore what seemed beyond hope. This sparked a lifelong mission to combine scientific inquiry, creative craftsmanship, and a genuine desire to help others.
Dr. Joe graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utica College in 2002 before attending the SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. His academic journey included a prestigious two-year neuroscience research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. After earning his DDS in 2008, he completed a post-graduate residency at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in New Jersey.
Seeking a professional path rooted in service, Dr. Joe spent a decade serving tribal communities, including the Winnebago, Ponca, and Omaha Tribes. It was during his seven years in Omaha that he met his wife, Theresa, and they welcomed their two sons, Lucian and Mathias.
In 2018, the family relocated to the Olympic Peninsula to embrace the outdoors and support Theresa’s studies in East Asian Medicine. After years of serving the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, Dr. Joe and Theresa felt called to establish a practice of their own. EOM Dental Center is the culmination of that vision, a community-focused practice built on collaboration, kindness, and clinical excellence.

Theresa Churchill
Theresa Churchill, LAc, EAMP, is a board-certified acupuncturist and East Asian Medicine Practitioner. She earned her Master’s degree from the Middle Way Acupuncture Institute in Mount Vernon, Washington, building upon a strong clinical foundation that includes an Associate of Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Clarkson College and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bellevue University.
Theresa’s path to holistic medicine was deeply influenced by her time as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where her dedication to community health and wellness was first solidified. Today, that lifelong passion for care is at the very heart of her practice, driving her commitment to helping patients achieve true health and vibrant well-being.
