Theresa Churchill, LAc, EAMP

Theresa Churchill is a board-certified acupuncturist (LAc) and East Asian Medicine Practitioner (EAMP) who brings a grounded, compassionate presence to EOM Dental Center. Her role here is unique: she works alongside Dr. Churchill to support patients who experience dental anxiety, TMJ discomfort, or tension-related conditions, using the ancient tools of East Asian Medicine to complement modern dental care.

Education and Background

Theresa earned her Master's level diploma in Acupuncture in 2022 from Middle Way Acupuncture Institute in Mount Vernon, Washington. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bellevue University and an Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant from Clarkson College. Her academic background spans both Western biomedical science and traditional healing systems.

Before becoming a licensed acupuncturist, Theresa served as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 2007 to 2009, an experience that deepened her commitment to community-centered health care and working with people across diverse backgrounds.

Her Philosophy

Theresa's approach is rooted in a belief that real healing considers the whole person, not just the condition. She was drawn to East Asian Medicine after studying with a practitioner who bridged Eastern and Western frameworks, and that integrative perspective has shaped everything she does. She has worked with injured athletes, elders, and a wide range of communities, bringing patience and genuine care to every encounter.
