Our Give Partner:
Five Acre School

A group of hikers walking along a forest trail beside a flowing river with fallen logs and autumn-colored trees, with misty mountains in the background under a partly cloudy sky.

At EOM Dental Center, we believe a dental practice should give back to the community it serves, not just treat the smiles within it. That belief is the foundation of our Give Partner program, our commitment to supporting a local organization that shares our values of care, growth, and connection. We are proud to introduce our Give Partner, Five Acre School, a small independent school right here in Sequim, Washington.

Why We Chose Five Acre School

Choosing a Give Partner is not a decision we take lightly. It has to feel personal, and it has to reflect what our practice stands for. Five Acre School holds a special place in the heart of our own EOM Dental Center family. Dr. Joseph Churchill's wife, Theresa Churchill, serves on the Five Acre School Board of Directors, giving our practice a direct and meaningful connection to the school's mission and the families it serves.

Beyond that personal tie, Five Acre School's philosophy mirrors our own. Just as we take a whole-patient approach to dental care at EOM Dental Center, Five Acre School takes a whole-child approach to education. Both of our organizations believe that people, whether they are five years old or fifty, grow best in an environment built on trust, curiosity, and community. Partnering with a school that nurtures those same values in Sequim's children felt like a natural extension of who we are.

About Five Acre School

Five Acre School is a small, independent, nonprofit school serving preschool through sixth grade students in Sequim, Washington. Established in 1994 by Bill and Juanita Jevne, the school sits on five acres of playgrounds, fields, and wetlands beside the Dungeness Recreation Area, giving students room to learn both inside the classroom and out in nature.

Five Acre School's curriculum blends traditional academics with music, art, theater, and outdoor education, all centered on a child-led approach to learning. The school's values of responsiveness, curiosity, compassion, stewardship, and community guide everything from the classroom to the campus grounds.

What Our Give Partnership Means

Our Give Partner program is built on a simple idea: as EOM Dental Center grows in Sequim, we want Five Acre School to grow alongside us. The specifics of how this support will take shape are still being finalized, but our commitment to standing behind this school, and the families it serves, is not.

As we prepare to open our doors, we see this partnership as an ongoing relationship rather than a one-time gesture. We look forward to sharing more details about our Give Partner program as they come together, and to finding meaningful ways to invest in Five Acre School's mission for years to come.

Growing Together

We believe the best partnerships grow over time, and ours with Five Acre School is just beginning.
